SEPTEMBER MEETING NOTES

At our September meeting we took nominations for our President, Vice President and Secretary. The following people were nominated: Nicole Dussault (P), Tahia Haque (P), Dina Z. (VP), Kristy C. (VP), Jenny Oh (VP), Jaki H. (S) and Claudia C. (S). We usually have 1 President, 2 Vice Presidents and 2 Secretaries. We will vote at our next meeting on 10/30. If you cannot attend that meeting, email Mrs. Reinhart your votes in advance.

We discussed our Blogs. This TAB informational blog and our Book Review Blog. Also discussed were future program ideas. No decisions were reached on programs but some suggestions were: Book Character Day, a camp-out in the library, a murder mystery night.

When the renovation is completed we will be increasing our YA collection to include more YA Biographies. TAB members worked on lists of people they or other teens might be interested in.

Future meetings: Thursdays, 10/30, 11/20, 12/18.

TAB Meeting

Our first TAB meeting of the school year will be held on Thursday, September 18 at 7-8.

SUMMER IS HERE!

Though we don't hold TAB meetings in the summer due to everyone's busy schedule, we do have many TAB members volunteering at the library's Summer Reading Club table. We appreciate everyone's efforts. Nicole has suggested that we make a trip to Barnes and Noble this year. It might be a good thing to do in September.

The library renovation has been delayed but may start in August or September. Either way, the impact will be felt during the fall.

February Meeting Notes

We discussed holding our annual TAB party. We usually have it on a Friday night in the Spring. We have it narrowed down to two dates: May 23 or June 6.

An upcoming volunteer opportunity: Collage Craft - Wednesday, April 23 10:30 & 2:30.

We disscussed ideas for our upcoming meetings. Ideas include: a trip to B&N, Taco Night, update booklists. One attendee suggested starting an "Author of the Month" campaign in the YA area. Stephenie Meyer was selected as our March author. I have ordered some additional copies of her books and have an interview ready for display. I would like to have a (or some) TAB book reviews in the blog and also printed for display.

We then practiced for the upcoming--"Leapin' Library Leprechauns." That program will be held on Wednesday, 2/12 from 4:30 to 5:15. We need lots of TAB participants.

Our next meeting will be on 3/20 at 7-8.

TAB Meeting

Our next meeting is on Thursday, February 21 at 7-8. We will be organizing for our upcoming presentation of "Tim O'Toole and the Wee Folk" in March.

Meeting Notes

We discussed the TAB mission statement. Nicole will email me the proposed statement for our next meeting.

Upcoming programs include: Valentine's Day Jewelry Craft on Tuesday, 2/12, 4:30-5:15. TAB volunteers are welcome. Our Tim O'Toole and the Wee Folk readers' theatre presentation and craft will be held on Wednesday, 3/12 at 4:30-5:15. Many TAB participants will be needed. We selected the craft for that program. It is called the "Leprechaun Bucket Craft Kit."

We did discuss the proposed "Camp Out" program but need to put it on hold due to the upcoming renovations.

After our discussion, TAB members enjoyed a rousing game of Disney Scene It.
